Obituary

Ronald (Ron) James Fielding Sr of Hesperia, CA peacefully passed away from complications from COPD and emphysema on February 9, 2020 at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, CA. Ron, a lifelong Harley Davidson enthusiast, rode off into his final sunset at 10:45 PM surrounded by his loving family will classic country music played in his honor.

Ron was born in Quincy, Illinois on May 9,1942. The “Quincy Kid” as he was later nicknamed, was raised in Southern California where he met his first love, Betty Brown. Over the course of 32 years, they raised five beautiful children and ran a successful business, R&B Transport. Following Betty’s passing in 1999, Ron retired and filled his days by spending time with his children and grandchildren. In 2002, he met Doris (Dori) Redwine; they were married on October 14, 2006.

Ron will be remembered for his humor, random outburst of singing, love of all things for the motor, and most of all, the pursuit of a good bargain. You could always find him watching Price is Right every morning Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night and cheering on his beloved Dodgers every baseball season. He never met a stranger and always had a story for any occasion that left you in tears of laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Redwine-Fielding, his children Cindy Fielding-Cox, Ed Cox, Ron Fielding Jr, and Christine Brown of Denver, CO, Tina Brown of Indio, CA and Lori Brown-Wright of Grant, MI; his 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, Doris‘ children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family, and cherish friends. Ron is also survived by his faithful companion of 40 years, Pedro the Yellow-Headed Amazon.
