Duane Cameron Thompson

Duane C. Thompson, of Apple Valley, California, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 3, 2022. Duane was born on December 14, 1944 in Glendale, California to Lois Thompson and Harold (Tommy) Alexander Thompson. Duane met his wife of 53 years, Rosalie, while attending Biola University. It is a known family fact that Duane went to Biola to find a wife. HIs plan worked as God led him to meet the love of his life. Rosalie. Rosalie's family was near and dear with so many family gatherings, vacations and adventures. Duane and Rosalie had 3 sons, and while Duane had grown up exploring the outdoors with his father, Tommy, it was through his boys and the many adventures they had, along with his brother-in-laws, cousins and life-long friends that Duane was truly happy. Later in life, his grandchildren brought a sparkle to his eye as he was able to see his family heritage spread out before him. Duane loved to travel and would drive many hours to see his Texas grandchildren and just a few months ago he endured his least favorite event, air-travel, to see his newly relocated Tennessee grandchildren. While the last few years were challenging, Duane spent many hours with Tom's boys, Ruger, Gauge, Zach and Nate. The family is so thankful Duane was able to attend graduations, sporting events, and so many other family gatherings. Duane has always loved learning and reading. He attended Glendale College, California State University Chico, Grace Theological Seminary, and Biola University. In his career, Duane spent time as a financial planner, Christian school teacher and in real estate as an agent and investor. He is preceded in death by parents, Harold Alexander Thompson and Lois Thompson, sisters Gayle Harrison and Marcia Siefert and half-sister Mary Rakow and Elizabeth Watson. Duane is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Ann Thompson (Pfau) of Apple Valley, CA, Children, Keith C. Thompson and wife Jennifer of Lubbock, TX, Daniel J. Thompson and wife Emily of Murfreesboro, TN and Thomas A. Thompson and wife Jennifer of Hesperia, CA: Grandchildren Taylor, Kolton, and Macy Thompson, Dane, Elisa and Brock Thompson, Ruger and Gauge Thompson and Zachary and Nate Wilberding; Sister Evelyn Peters and husband Terry, Sister Sharron Hendrickson and husband Morgan, and half-brother Peter Thompson, along with many other beloved family, friends and business associates.
